Walden/Beyond The Landscapes Of Man/Bubonic Breakout Records/2011 EP Review

This  is  another  review  of  a  recording  from  Walden  with  the  music  this  time  around  neo-folk  music  and  this  is  a  review  of  their  2011  ep  "Beyond  The  Landscapes  Of  Man"  which  was  released  by  Bubonic  Breakout  Records.

Drums  are  all  slow  tribal  beats  along  with  a  use  of  a  hollow  log,  while  the  acoustic  guitars  use  finger  picking  and  full  chords  to bring  the  neo  folk  elements  to  the  music  and  the  drums  and  guitars  are  the  only  musical  instruments  present  on  this  recording.

Vocals  are  all  clean  singing  folk  music  vocals,  while  the  lyrics  cover  darkness  and  nature  themes,  as  for  the  production  it  has  a  very  dark,  raw  and  primitive  sound  with  only  2  songs  being  present  on  this  e.p.

In  my  opinion  this  is  another  great  sounding  recording  from  Walden  and  if  you  are  a  fan  of  black  metal  influenced  neo-folk,  you  should  check  out  this  ep.  RECOMMENDED  TRACK  "An  Old  Cabin  High  In  The  Hills.  RECOMMENDED  BUY.
